The appointment shall be made in accordance with the Bank of Ghana Corporate Governance Directive for Rural and Community Banks, 2021, the Banks and Specialised Deposit-Taking Institutions Act, 2016 (Act 930), the Companies Act, 2019 (Act 992), and other applicable regulatory requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Applicants should:
Be persons of proven integrity, professionalism and good standing.
Possess appropriate qualifications, experience and competencies relevant to the effective governance of a Community Bank.
Have expertise in one or more of the following areas: Banking, Finance, Accounting, Audit, Economics, Law, Information and Communication Technology, Entrepreneurship, Risk Management, Strategic Planning, Corporate Governance or related fields.
Demonstrate sound knowledge of business, financial management and the community in which the Bank operates.
Be able to provide effective oversight and contribute meaningfully to the strategic direction and sustainable growth of the Bank.
Be willing and able to commit sufficient time to Board and Committee responsibilities.
Satisfy the fit-and-proper requirements of the Bank of Ghana and be available to obtain the necessary prior regulatory approval before assuming office.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidates will be expected to:
Provide strategic direction and effective oversight of the Bank.
Ensure the Bank operates in a safe, sound and sustainable manner.
Oversee risk management, internal controls and compliance.
Protect the interests of depositors, shareholders and other stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and Bank of Ghana directives.
Promote high standards of corporate governance, ethics and accountability.
